Terms of service
Plain terms for a tool that runs in your browser. The parts worth reading before you rely on it are the limits of what browser-native computation can promise, and what happens to your work if you stop paying.

Agreement
By using Malytics you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service. If you use Malytics on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
What the service is
Malytics is a data analysis platform that runs in your web browser. It imports files, profiles and cleans them, queries them, charts them, builds dashboards, runs statistical and forecasting methods, and turns the result into a presentation. Computation happens on your own device; our servers hold accounts, saved dashboards, billing and the AI proxy.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it secure. You must be at least 16 years old. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe someone else has gained access to it.
Your data stays yours
You keep every right in the data you bring and in the dashboards, charts and documents you make with Malytics. We claim no ownership of them. The only permission you give us is the narrow one needed to run the service you asked for: storing a dashboard you chose to save, and passing a question to the AI provider when you ask it one.
You are responsible for having the right to use the data you load, and for complying with the law and with any agreement covering it. Because files are processed in your browser rather than on our servers, we are not a processor of that data — but that does not transfer your own obligations to us.
Acceptable use
Do not use Malytics to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, to attack or overload the service or the services it depends on, to get around the limits of your plan, or to resell access to it. Do not attempt to reach other users' accounts or data.
Plans, billing and cancellation
Malytics has a free tier and one or more paid tiers. Current prices and what each tier includes are shown in the app and on the pricing section of the site; those pages are the authoritative statement and prices can change with notice.
Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund part-used periods automatically, but if something went wrong, write to us and we will deal with it fairly.
If a paid plan lapses, your account and saved dashboards remain; features limited to the paid tier stop being available. Nothing is deleted because a payment stopped.
The AI features, and third parties
The AI assistant sends a limited description of your data to a model provider — set out precisely in our privacy policy. That provider processes it under its own terms. If you supply your own API key, your use is additionally governed by your agreement with that provider.
Model output can be wrong. Malytics is built to constrain it to figures computed from your data and to refuse to invent numbers, and that constraint is a design goal rather than a guarantee. Check anything you are going to rely on.
What we do not promise
The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not promise that any analysis it produces is correct.
Two limits follow from the architecture rather than from caution, and you should know them before you depend on the product:
- Your data lives in your browser. Clearing site data, switching browsers or using a different device means it is not there. We cannot recover it, because we never had it. Keep your own copies of anything that matters.
- Your machine is the limit. File sizes are bounded by your device's memory rather than by an upload quota, and nothing runs while the tab is closed. For very large data or scheduled pipelines, a server-side tool is the right answer and we will say so.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for loss of data — including data lost from your own browser. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Malytics and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or that puts the service or other users at risk; except where the breach is serious or urgent, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right.
Changes
We may change these terms as the product changes. The date at the top moves when we do, and material changes will be notified rather than left to be discovered.
Governing law
Not yet stated. Where a dispute cannot be settled between us, it is decided under the law of the country in which Malytics is established, and nothing here removes a right you hold under the consumer law of the country you live in. This section will name that country explicitly in a future revision.
